True story. The info comes directly from Ed Miller himself. The respected poker player and author have been threathened by unknowns demanding he starts taking a fee for the content on his blog . This is what he writes:
“For about the last nine months, behind the scenes, I’ve been receiving pressure and threats aimed at forcing me either to shut down Noted Poker Authority or to make the vast majority of its content available for pay only…”
People are getting their blogs shaken down. What the heck is going on?

We are sorry to say, but there will probably be no more high-stakes poker on TV. The popular TV show High-Stakes Poker attracted a ton of viewers but will not return in 08′.
Here’s what AJ Benza got to say:
“Far as Gabe and I know….the show isnt coming back. Apparently…the network is going to go in a different direction and that aint good news for our show, especially since we skew a higher-aged audiuence. Never mind that we’re the network’s No. 1 show. Still and all, no one calls us from the network to say squat. Only Kevin Bellincoff checks in periodically, but it just don’t seem like good news. If you ask me…they’re treating us like shit. All we ever did was make them a bunch of money.”
Too bad. That was some real poker on TV and Gabe Kaplan did do some solid commenting. What is the reason for GSN cancelling their biggest success?

World Poker Tour host Layla Kayleigh has resigned from the show. This is reported by WickedChops. The hottie says:
“Also you should know that as much fun as I had on season 6 of the World Poker Tour, I will not be returning for a 2nd season.
WPT were kind enough to ask me back for a 2nd season, however after much thought and deliberation I decided that I really want to minimize traveling in my schedule this year, focus more on my health and personal relationships, and they were very understanding to where I was coming from.
Might I add, that I had the most adventurous time on the road, learned so much about life and poker! and most importantly gained the most amazing friendship with my dear friend Kim Lansing (who I really hope lands the hosting position for Season 7)”

We agree Layla, Kimberly Lansing as the new WPT host would be awesome! See the picture to understand what we are talking about. The hottest girl in poker right now?
Come on, this girl does tournament interviews with a shitty webcam (?), and turns them into something solid. Get her on TV ASAP!

Yukon Brad was the guest on the latest Pokerroad and wow, what an honest guy! Brad Booth is a professional poker player from Canada who is mostly known for his apperance on High Stakes Poker.
Brad talked about his huge losses online and how he would make a few hundred thousands live, to then lose it all online. He talked about his poor bankroll management and how sitting in front of a computer 10 hours a day really affected his social life. He referred to his issue as the “internet crack problem”!
Luckily, he is still endorsed by Full Tilt Poker and claims to be really grinding it out there with a 100% rakeback deal as a part of his Full Tilt Poker pro arrangement.
Check out the vid below to see why Brad should stick to live play.
