Father Of Absolute Poker Cheat Wins WSOP Event

Phil Tom
This is pretty disturbing. Father of Scott Tom, Phil Tom, took down the $5000 No Limit Hold Em Shootout today and pocketed a $477K win. Scott Tom is one of the founders of Absolute Poker and is suspected to have controlled the famous Pottripper account on AP. This was one of the so called “superusers” who had the benefit of actually seeing the other player’s holecards.

Philip Tom went headsup against Greg Mueller aka FTB and won the last hand with AJ against Mueller’s J8 on a 9J3 rainbow flop. All the money went in on the flop and turn and river were total blanks giving Tom a bracelet.

Phil Tom is reported to be one of the financial backers of Absolute Poker. He do not have an official position in the organization but is one of the moneymen who helped his son establish the pokersite.

Unfortunately, Scott Tom himself has not been sighted in Vegas yet. We would probably keep a low profile if we were him to.
