We write about this guy alot, but how could we really not do it when he never dissapoints. This time he is ranting in his blog. Main event is over and Hellmuth feels it is not fair how he went out in forty-fifth.
I feel like I deserve better than a forty fifth place finish at the 2008 WSOP main event. In six days I never faltered, I played one coin flip for over 50% of my chips, and I didn’t have any double up hands (my A-A vs. their K-K or Q-Q) for the last three days. I cannot say this about any other tournament that I have played in my life. The amateurs killed me when they called big pre-flop raises with Q-10 both times in heads up pots: once, I turned a set (J-9-6-8-2) and check called fourth street; the other time I made aces up with A-2 (J-9-2-8-A). I finally played a coin flip when I moved all-in for $405,000 (blinds were 20k-40k) with A-Q under the gun seven handed, and was called by J-J. It was my last hand.
